Head Like a Kite just played LIVE and they sounded fantastic. They look fantastic too! Just rolled out of bed and are still in bathrobes. One of them is even wearing and Eight is Enough T-shirt with Adam Rich on it. Awesome!! Asy from Smoosh even stopped by to hang out with them. She is not in a bathrobe as far as I can tell but she did bring her dad. Film School will be live today at Noon. Don’t stray from your radio/computer. You don’t want to miss a minute of music. I don’t know how many times I get an email and someone says they missed hearing their request because they had to go to the bathroom. You gotta get a KEXP shower radio and hang it around your neck Flava Flav style. That way, you’ll never miss a song. You’ll be the envy of all your co-workers in staff meetings.

Nice work Head like a Kite — I really enjoyed the show and the new CD.
Man, I sure hope the bathrobe thing was just an act. I can’t imagine being around Dave in the morning without him showering. Great music but no shower? Ewwww…
Just wanted to let you all know that I’ve been following the blog and I’m looking forward to future entries. Radio in Washington, DC, is uniformly awful, so listening to KEXP has been a welcome alternative.
I also enjoyed Head Like a Kite. Of course, that’s true of most of the station’s live performances….
The Smoosh girl did more than hang out! She sang and rocked with the KIte.
I HAVE worn my shower radio Flava flav style but not in the shower – outside in the sunshine
just loving that almost everyday includes an in- studio… -anne on queen anne
I love Head Like a Kite. I see more KEXP shows in the offing upcoming soon. Right on. Robes?
This picture of the two Head Like A Kite chaps, lounging in bathrobes and stubble behind the luminous Asya of Smoosh, demonstrates the danger of being photographed with really young people, as by the mere power of juxtaposition she transforms gracefully aging hipster to grizzled decrepit codger in an instant.

[...] THANK YOU to Head Like A Kite. Man, GREAT in-studio today. They showed up in bathrobes and played super 8 home movies while they played. Now that’s bringing it to the in-studio. They also brought with them one half of Smoosh (taking her out of school to do so…I hope they didn’t do that in the robes). Get the eyewitness account from Cheryl! Anytime we have an in-studio, count on the blog to have images and reviews/info right after. Love it! As for Head Like A Kite, they play tonight at Chop Suey and touring like nuts. I highly recommend seeing them and hearing the new release. [...]
[...] Last night I saw Mission Impossible III and, I just have to tell you that it was SO WRONG on so many levels. Not only did the movie suck in every possible way (even on the Cinerama screen it had no redeeming value) but I’m afraid I just can’t take Tom Cruise seriously anymore (not that I ever took him that seriously but at least I did like him at one point). In one scene, he got this crazy-ass look in his eyes when he was all straightjacketed up with one of those Hannibal Lector/dog muzzle leather face masks on and I thought “Dude, you’re not acting now. You’re really fucking crazy!” Everyone in the movie sucked. The plot sucked. Tom Cruise sucked. I do love that Mission Impossible theme music though. But, 60 seconds of dom-dom, dom-dom dom-dom, dom-dom dom-dom, dom-dom dom-dom, dom-dom, na na na, na na na, na na na, na na, dom-dom…. can’t save this movie. Film School and Head Like a Kite, however, rocked the house at KEXP and Film School hung out in our lobby all day, which more than made up for it! [...]
