Blown away…

Don’t miss Mark and Gary tonight at The Showbox!

Mark, Cheryl, Gary, and Kevin post performance
Gary Louris of The Jayhawks warming up at KEXP

Totally blown away… The Jayhawks are one of my favorite bands of fall time. To hear (and see) Mark Olsen and Gary Louris singing together after all these years was a real treat and something I thought I might never again get to witness. If ever two voices were meant to be together, it is theirs. I’m so grateful they were able to stop by KEXP to play a few tunes. Much to my delight, they dug deep into The Jayhawks songbook and pulled out three gems from Tomorrow the Green Grass (“I’d Run Away,” “See Him On the Street” and “Over My Shoulder”) and one of my favorites from Hollywood Town Hall (“Sister Cry”).

If you missed any of it, their performance will be available in a couple of hours at our Streaming Archive.
