John and Kevin Suggs (the KEXP studio engineer in NYC with us) and I are all sitting here wrapping up for the day and talking about how beat we are. It’s so intense and non-stop all day long with one band loading out after an insane performance as another band is loading in for another kick-ass set. It’s a juggling act. But, a really fun one. There’s such an incredible vibe and we’ve been going at mach speed all day long. It’s been great to meet new listeners and connect with old friends. We’ve met so many wonderful listeners out here over the years. It’s humbling to hear how significant KEXP is in the lives of listeners so far from our beloved hometown of Seattle. Keep your eyes and ears open for photos from this week on the web at KEXP.ORG and podcasts of this week’s sessions. The Mugs set is going out right away and we should be releasing more sessions from this week over the coming weeks and months. And, don’t forget, if you missed any of the live sets, you can always listen on the KEXP Streaming Archive. Well, we’re off to meet with some NYC listeners and we’ll be back to do it all again tomorrow.

listening from new haven, ct and it all sounds great – clean, well engineered, and you guys are obviously having a good time… by the way, your photographer kicks arse. bill always does a stellar job, but it’s cool to see new perspectives and the new venue. see you at the end of the week!
