It’s hard to believe our week in NYC has come to an end. Twenty-one bands in five days. Whew. There was not a bad apple in the bunch! They all rocked so hard. It was an incredibly successful trip. We met so many new listeners here in New York when they came down to hear the bands. And, saw lots of familiar faces from past in-studios. It’s always so bittersweet when it comes to an end. We’re exhausted but we’re on an adrenaline high from all the we just experienced. We podcasted one of the New York performances each day this week and we’ll continue to make more available. Sign up to receive them and they are all great.

Thanks so all the bands for making it such an amazing week. Land of Talk had to literally talk themselves across the border last night coming in from Montreal to do their live set today. It can be difficult sometimes for bands to cross in and out of the US. We’re so glad they made it! They totally rocked.
Dr. Dog were a delightful surprise as I had never heard them live before and they completely lived up to all the hype. In fact, they’re our featured podcast for today.

The fun continued with Elvis Perkins. He stopped by the Austin City Limits Studios to play for us at South by Southwest in March, which was fantastic, but today he brough his band and they were phenomenal. We just wrapped up the day with an infectious live set from Essex Green.

The week in NYC has gone by so quickly. But, in ways, it seems like we’ve been here forever. A huge thank you to Gigantic Studios for their generosity in letting us use this amazing studio. The folks down here are all so incredible and they’ve been unbelievably welcoming welcoming to us. What can I say? it was an amazing week!
Listen to all of the performances at the Streaming Archive and the slide show will be up soon.
