Thanks to a creative, dedicated member

KEXP is run by a small and very dedicated staff. We all work here because, like you, we love this station. We believe that this is the way radio should be, and we work hard to make it the best radio station in the world. We couldn’t do it without support from our listeners, our community, and the help of an army dedicated volunteers, interns, and other contributors.

One such contributor is Chad Syme of Zipper Design. Chad Syme is a gracious person, supremely talented artist, and one of the most genuine individuals that I’ve had the pleasure to meet. Chad is not only a KEXP volunteer and member, but he also is a gifted graphic designer who works with KEXP pro bono. He offered to help out with t-shirt design late last year, and has since become an integral part of the membership team, the KEXP family, and a hero of the membership drive.

As a fan of the station, Chad Syme is able to identify the essence of KEXP and distill it into graphic form. You need only look at the masthead of our blog, designed by Chad, to see that Zipper Design has had a huge impact on the visual identity of KEXP. Currently his art also graces a limited edition t-shirt, a new KEXP Fidel Trucker hat, hoody, and tote bag. The artwork on the currently available KEXP thank you gifts only represents the tip of the iceberg of creative output that Chad has shared with the station. You can expect to see even more great designs by Zipper Design offered in future membership drives.

You can see more of Chad’s design work and art at Zipper Design’s website ZipperDesign.
