No starter? No problem!

Jim, Jason, Damian, and I pushing Anna and her car

What happens when one of our volunteers has car trouble? We make it work! And you thought we just played music… Anna’s car wouldn’t start this morning after her shift. Dead battery? No, not the battery… Out of gas? No, plenty of gas… Starter? Hmmm… Could be! So, people who know more about cars than I do decide we can pull the old give it a push and pop the clutch routine… And that’s what we do. It was tricky though. Anna was actually parked in a spot, so we had to push her back out of the spot, out of our lot, and into the street. Unsafe, you say? Perhaps! Jim got out in the street, stopped traffic, and we made our move… She started right up and Anna was on her way. Victory! Glad Denise snapped a picture and let’s hope Anna gets to where she’s going!

Haha! I look like the demon from the land of crappy cars. Is that my 8th grade gym teacher I’ve spotted behind me?

But you…you strapping young men…could a girl ask for a more valient group of rescuers? Thanks so much again. I wrote a message to the dj to thank you all, but I’m not sure if it got read. It was slightly without taste.

My car made it home and has even started fine later…I’m sure she has another 80,000 or 90,000 miles left in ‘er.

    Much obliged.
