Happy to spotlight another one of our local favorites… Kinski!

“This Seattle band’s third full-length is another excellent outing of instrumental psych-rock, combining ambient soundscapes and the intense drones of German prog-rock with the muscle of ‘70s hard rock and metal to often-exhilarating effect. Kinski place a bit more focus this time around on driving rock rhythms, though tempos and song structures often shift in unpredictable ways.” – Don Yates

The Wives of Artie Shaw – (MP3)
Hiding Drugs in the Temple (Part 2) – (MP3)

Listen to an exclusive in-studio performance from Kinski on 7/11/05 – (WMA, Real)

Catch Kinski this Saturday, June 24 at The Croc with The Lights, Unnatural Helpers, and Welcome. It’s going to be pretty neat… According to Kinski’s site, each band will play 10 minute sets in a round-robin sort of format, sharing members, etc.
