Hope you had a great weekend! My weekend started on Friday here at the KEXP parking lot – we had a kickin’ party for all of the KEXP volunteers. I can’t begin to explain the difference that the KEXP volunteer crew makes. Our front desk staff is there to greet visitors, handle the mail, order supplies, help with bands, and do projects for the staff. The DJ interns pull music, take your requests, provide content for the playlist, answer questions, and put music away after the show. Membership volunteers do pretty much everything from take pledges to run the tally sheet to process pledges to mailing out thank gifts. This station wouldn’t be where it isn’t today without volunteers. We’ll try to get some pictures from the party up on Flickr soon…
