Blown away by Evangelicals!

Ok, every once in a while I chime in on our in-studios and this is one of those times… A huge thanks to Evangelicals! These guys slept in their van in our parking lot last night, showed up nice and early, and then rocked our performance space. Hard! They were clever, full of energy, totally into it, and a lot of fun. And yes… they had a fog machine AND a bull horn!  Doron took some awesome pictures, which capture a lot of the madness, but you need to go back and listen at the Streaming Archive if you missed it. If you haven’t heard their record check it out… It’s called So Gone, and it’s awesome.

I heard the call from the Evangelicals and it was great! Had to work and couldn’t make it out to the Paradox. Are they coming back to the Seattle area anytime soon? Please.

I was so taken by this band’s in-studio that I knew I had to see them at the Paradox. Well, I made it to the venue at 10:30pm, which is pretty late for an all-ages show so I asked the people working the door that night if the band had been playing long (I could hear them playing the type of song that bands typically save for a set closer).

The door people said that they had only been playing 15 minutes and assured me that they couldn’t be more than halfway through their set. So I paid for two tickets, got stamped, walked through the lobby and around the corner and found an audience of about 15 people enjoying the spectacle. I found a perfect spot to take in the show, put my earplugs in and 30 seconds later the band’s set ended. At least I was able to buy a copy of their album.
