Frank Black photos, live at KEXP

Yesterday we had a real treat... Frank Black performed live and chatted with Kevin for nearly an hour. Most in-studio performances are about half that long, but he was really funny and affable. Most of the artists we have at the station spend a lot of time on the road and it can be tough. Frank Black came straight down from Canada, performed live on the air, went straight to Easy Street for an in-store performance, and presumably went right down to the Showbox for sound check. Despite all the travel, he was very talkative, willing to answer listener’s questions, and was even willing to talk a little bit about the Pixies. It was truly a pleasure. Check out these photos from the in-studio, courtesy of Greg Perez and go to the Streaming Archive to listen to the performance. Select Mon, Nov.13, 2006 and punch in 2:45pm to listen.
