Guitar Romantic was an astonishingly accomplished set of memorable songs and guitar hooks that combined old-school punk and power pop with youthful exuberance. A few months after the album was released, the band was returning to Portland after playing a show in San Francisco when their van overturned, and three of the band’s four members lost their lives. This new compilation collects some previously unreleased songs, non-LP singles, demos, outtakes and alternate versions, and while it’s not quite as uniformly strong as Guitar Romantic, it’s damn close, making it another wonderful testament to a very special band.” - Don Yates
