The 2007 Sasquatch! lineup has been officially announced and both days are unbelievably good! Bjork, the Arcade Fire, Beastie Boys and Interpol to name a few… KEXP is proud to sponsor this year’s festival, and this Friday’s Music That Matters podcast will exclusively feature artists performing at Sasquatch! this year. You’ll hear songs from the Arcade Fire, Neko Case, the Hold Steady, Grizzly Bear, Ghostland Observatory, Spoon, the Black Angels and many more.
If the Jam reforms in the woods, but there’s no Paul Weller there to hear it… Is it really the Jam? Thanks to Rock Sellout for this awesome feature and video…
Yo La Tengo is set to tour Japan, Australia, and the U.S. this Spring.
Another big time festival announces participants… Wilco, Smashing Pumpkins, Ted Leo, Spiritualized, Built to Spill, Modest Mouse, Grizzly Bear, Band of Horses, the Good the Bad and the Queen, and more will perform at this year’s Primavera in Barcelona.
XM and Sirius announce an official merger. Hmmm… sounds like they might be facing one or two anti-trust issues.
The real question is, in what way will Jonny Greenwood’s Rastafarian conversion affect the new Radiohead record?!?!
Download an MP3 of Neko Case covering “Buckets of Rain” by none other than Bob Dylan. Thanks to An Aquarium Drunkard for the post.
Saturday night at the Sunset was awesome… A Gun That Shoots Knives, the Hands, Iceage Cobra and thee Emergency packed the place out and rocked everyone’s face off.

Why doesn’t KEXP play more Björk? She’s important enough to headline Sasquatch and Coachella… I know there are some people who are very polarized about her but, I don’t know, I wish you guys gave her some more love. :) she’s released 5-6 CDs that get good reviews but over four years I’ve heard her, um, three times in KEXP. One of those was today.
Anyway. Más Björk por favor?
Off topic: Your station is great! I came across KEXP through a recommendation of a friend here in Tel Aviv, Israel. You rock!I especially like the John in Morning show.
