Low Frequency in Stereo – Jimmy Legs (MP3)
Last year, Low Frequency in Stereo was nominated for a Norwegian Grammy, and rightly so. Although distinctly Nordic, the band’s sound references many genres of American and British rock. The Last Temptation of…, their third album, combines elements of garage rock, lounge music, Western twang, and space rock, reminding you at various times of Link Wray, The Doors, Stereolab, Spiritualized and many others. If you can imagine the late Mary Hansen backed by Ray Manzarek, you’re starting to get the picture. Our Music Director, Don Yates, called the band’s mix “adventurous,” which he meant in the most literal way. Prepare to travel with Low Frequency in Stereo through terrestrial and other worldly territories.
