This week’s post is going to be a bit short as we, Three Imaginary Girls, are running around frantically getting ready for this weekend’s big party. It’s our party… our 5th Birthday! We’ve got dresses to mend, balloons to blow up, and raffle prizes to assemble. We wanted to make sure that the party is as fun for everyone else as it will be for us. We’ve assembled a mix of bands from up and down the west coast (LA, Portland, and Seattle) into two nights of celebration.
Both shows are co-sponsored by the amazing 90.3 KEXP, and the Croc show is also sponsored by PBR and VAIN; VAIN will be providing us imaginaries with crazy rockstar makeovers for the big night, and will even be there to give you an updo, if you’re feeling that way.
But really, we haven’t spent the last five years talking about ourselves, have we? We’ve spent the bulk of our time blabbering on about all the great indie rock in the Pacific Northwest (and the touring bands that stop here), and after our parties, we promise to get back to gushing about all the notable shows headed our way in the coming weeks. Just not now; we’ve got rollers in our hair and BOAT song lyrics to memorize (it’s so fun to sing along!).
Want to get a taste of the fun? BOAT will be visiting the Afternoon Show at noon today. Listen in… perhaps you can join us upfront and sing along?
We’ll take icing on that cake,
three imaginary girls
