With each new story about Amy Winehouse, the “Rehab” jokes get less and less funny. The Mercury Prize nominee, who by the way is currently leading our blog poll, had a meltdown during her return to the stage at the Eden Project on Tuesday, after blowing off nearly two weeks of gigs. The Sun reports that Winehouse left the stage after two songs and returned in a worse state, slapping herself in the face and hitting her own head with her microphone. According to the rag, “She forgot the lyrics to her own songs and mumbled swear words in between them. She even spat into the crowd, who had paid £33 each to watch her. Then halfway through her last song, she just dropped the mic and walked off.” Fans quoted in This Is London, which features pics catching Amy in mid-spit, claim that she appeared “worryingly skinny” and “seemed to wipe away tears on two occasions.” Her spokesperson claimed that she was “a bit ring rusty” after her long break.

Fans of The Daily Show know that Brian Williams is hip enough to be a regular guest on the show, but he might even be cooler than just a friend-of-John-Stewart. Stereogum wonders if the NBC newsman might even have a better stocked iPod than CNN correspondant Anderson Coopers‘. Evidence? This indie rock themed interview with Jimmy Kimmel, who hosts nearly as much good music as Conan:
