The majority of the music news this weekend focused on Lollapalooza in Chicago. Reports have flooded the newsfeeds (for full coverage try Pitchfork and Spinner) and videos are trickling in on the ‘Tube. Here are some of the highlights:

Hands down, the most filmed performance at Lollapalooza is Daft Punk, whose head-spinning light show has been captured on countless cameras, and you can see why in this clip of the robotic duo performing “Face to Face”:

The next most ‘Tubed ‘Palooza performance is Muse, whose swellingly emotional alt-rock is captured here in this vid of “Invincible”:

The ubiquitous whistling Swedes, Peter Bjorn and John perform “Young Folks” with Silversun Pickups bassist Nikki Monninger:

Speaking of Silversun Pickups, they were one of many bands who earlier performed our own Capitol Hill Block Party before heading on over Lollapalooza (others include Spoon and Matt and Kim). Here’s Silversun Pickups ripping fan-favorite “Lazy Eye”:

I could be wrong, but I believe Matt and Kim made the same poop joke here in Seattle too:

Many of the live performances were streamed as live video on AT&T’s Blue Room (check back for video highlights). From those broadcasts comes this fantastic video of Regina Spektor singing “On the Radio”:

A frequent guest on stage with Kings of Leon is their buddy Eddie Vedder joining them here for their final song:

Over at the kid-friendly Kidzapalooza stage, My Morning Jacket’s Jim James makes Kermit proud with his rendition of “Rainbow Connection”:

… while Patti Smith empowers the toddlers:

Two other KEXP favorites who performed audience rousing sets are Ted Leo & The Pharmacists, here with “Where Have All The Rude Boys Gone?”

and young soul stirrer Ryan Shaw with “Nobody”:

Keep checking the ‘Tube as more vids are likely to be added with each passing hour. And speaking of passing the hours, crane your neck (or turn your monitor) and set these on repeat for hours of silly fun:
