Don’t forget that Live at KEXP Volume 3 is available from our website and at local record stores. This limited release contains exclusive songs, recorded on KEXP, by The Shins, Beirut, Ghostland Observatory, Lady Sovereign, The English Beat, and many others.

A thorough list of this week’s new releases can, as always, be found on Largehearted Boy‘s informative blog. It’s a fairly eclectic mix, featuring songsters from the other side of the pond (SFA and Jamie T), hip hop artists venturing into World and ambient themes (Beat Konducta, aka Madlib, and Odd Nosdam, aka David Madson of anticon), New Wavers (New Young Pony Club and VHS or Beta), post-New Wavers (Liars and Blue States), and artists melding genres of rock, blues, folk, jazz, beats, and anything else they can find (Ben Harper, The Howling Hex, The Real Tuesday Weld, and Portland’s Pseudosix). Even the re-issues this week are diverse: The Modern Lovers, Sly & The Family Stone, and Dickies have all been retooled. Open up your pocketbook and prepare to expand your collection:
