Musicfest NW: The Thermals

Update courtesy of Dave Allen of Pampelmoose:

The Thermals, Portland’s best rock trio dropped in to the Doug Fir this afternoon to deliver an impromptu set of their particular brand of frenzied pop-punk anarchy. As always they were awesome and you can see why by watching 3, yes 3, videos. I’m sorry I’m lame and didn’t catch the song titles but I swear that at least one of the songs is by The Wipers another great Portland outfit of yesteryear….

That 2nd one is a cover of Built to Spill’s “Big Dipper”. Awesome!

Love the Thermals so much. Don’t know about the 3rd one, but the 2nd is Big Dipper by Built To Spill. Never heard them play covers before. Cool.

It was great to be there. The covers were fun! Here’s one of my shots from the set.
