This week, Abe Beeson hosts a special Electronic Audioasis in light of the 4th annual Decibel Festival taking place in Seattle. This festival spotlights local and international electronic music, as well as visual and new media artists, and it takes place September 20th through the 23rd at different venues around the Capitol Hill area.Audioasis will have three guests that spotlight an area of this year’s Decibel Festival.

At 6pm, Fourthcity artist Truckasauras will be performing live on Audioasis. This band is made up of four people who create a style of Down Tempo electronic music. Their instrumentation is made up of a visual artist, a Game Boy nano loop, a drum machine, a synthesizer and a Commodore 64. It’s definitely music to take you to a different realm — even if it’s one from your favorite video game.Truckasauras will be performing @ the Decibel Festival as part of the Rage And The Machine Showcase (presented by KEXP) on Friday, September 21st at Neumos.

At 7pm, Decibel Fest organizer Sean Horton will be spinning tunes and chatting with Abe about festival highlights.

At 8pm, local Electronic Producer Jeff McIlwain, also known as Lusine, will be performing live. Lusine’s songs represent a number of styles of electronic music, in example: IDM, techno and ambient, just to name a few. He will be chatting and performing music from his latest 2007 album Language Barrier.
