Sharlese, the Assistant Producer of Audioasis who moonlights as a DJ brought you all an excellent evening of local favorites on last Saturday’s Audioasis. She was joined by two of the northwest’s best up and coming local bands, Throw Me The Statue, and The Dimes! If you missed these two outstanding performances be sure to go back to our Streaming Archive and take a listen to them.
Throw Me The Statue
You may have noticed a slight change in our weather recently, the blue sky is finally hidden with that familiar gray, the roads are wet and covered with a palate of multicolored leaves, just the way you Seattlites like them, right? If not and you are feeling a bit down from the change in climate, this weekend on Audioasis, Abe Beeson will be bringing you three hours of the best in our local music. And as if that was not enough to wipe your grey fall mood away, he will also be bringing you two bands live from the KEXP studio that fully epitomize the essence of summer.

Kicking the show off at 6pm Andy Werth will capture the exact feeling the sun makes when it smiles and inject it into his fun, poppy indie rock. Andy came onto the local music scene with his three song EP, Back To The Sun, a bright, fun EP that is reminiscent of Brian Wilson and Dolour. He will be celebrating the release of his new album, Seeing Stars, with a CD release party this Saturday night at the High Dive in Fremont. Be sure to tune into Audioasis at 6pm so you do not miss this sure to be great performance.
Then, coming in at 8pm, The ‘Verb will send a tidal wave of surf rock over the airwaves. Their new album, Reverberated For Your Pleasure, is an instrumental affair, packed full with jangley guitars and catchy riffs. The ‘Verb sounds like they should be playing with hundreds of bikini-clad girls surfing and dancing all around them. Check out this video of them playing live at the Huntington Beach Surfing Museum in Cali:
Just a reminder, Audioasis is on from 6-9PM every Saturday evening.
