Straying from the typical band progression, this 5-piece out of Jacksonville, Florida self-released their demo free of charge via their MySpace page a couple months ago. The demo release and their performance at the Athens Popfest has been enough to launch all the major bloggers and critics into a frenzy. Still without a label, the band has latched onto Quest Management, the same people responsible for Bjork and Arcade Fire. What is all the fuss about? Well, if you have any fondness for ’80’s synth-pop, songs about love and heartache, and a yearning for a second-coming of The Cure, you’ve come to the right place. Their high-energy throwbacks contain all the harmonies, call-and-response vocals, and jangly guitars to get your morning or night started.
