Indie rock with a shoegazer style best describes The Translucents. The band formed in the summer of 2006, self-releasing an EP called precept:OFF and this year full-length called Roots Run Deep. There’s a funny story about how they first got airplay on KEXP by dropping off their CD at 2 AM on the KEXP doorstep — read about it here.

Experimental Indie Pop band Grand Hallway contains 8 members with an arrangement of instruments that include violin, upright bass, cello and pedal steel to name a few! The gorgeous sounds of this band will grace the KEXP airwaves and will be sure to help you to remember why you love local music.
