Last Saturday Audioasis was LIVE from the High Dive in Fremont for our monthly benefit show. Thanks to Whalebones , J Tillman, Climber, The Maldives and Shane Tutmarc and the Traveling Mercies for playing the show. All proceeds went to The Service Board. Indie rock with a shoegazer style best describes The Translucents. The band formed in the summer of 2006, self-releasing an EP called precept:OFF and this year full-length called Roots Run Deep. There’s a funny story about how they first got airplay on KEXP by dropping off their CD at 2 AM on the KEXP doorstep — read about it here.
