Top Ten of 2007: Chilly’s Hip-Hop Favorites

As a special year-end treat for KEXP listeners I’ve created a unique podcast that features some of my favorite hip-hop artists from the year 2007. It seemed to me that our podcast series Music That Matters would be the perfect medium to release an all hip-hop set and I’ve tried to create an experience that falls somewhere between a radio show and a mixtape.

This podcast/mixtape is packed with 21 full songs from hip-hop stars and underground artists alike. As you probably know 2007 was a stellar year for local rap groups and you’ll find them well represented in this mix as well.
