Out This Week: Blue Monday no more… New releases 1/22

Does this make you happy?

Dr. Cliff Arnall is the researcher from Cardiff University who has made his name identifying Blue Monday, “the most depressing day of the year.” (OK, It’s not exactly splitting the atom or pasteurizing milk, but let’s give Professor Cliff his fifteen minutes here.) We’ll skip his formulas (weather, failed new years resolutions – what, already?), flow charts and graphs, and get right to it — the third Monday of each January is the date he’s come up with.

That, of course, was yesterday. So for those of you who somehow clawed your way forward to today — congratulations! Claim your prize below… a bevy of guilt-free MP3s from a nice crop of new albums, as the new-release black hole known as “the holidays” starts to fade. Skip right on down there and start mouse-clicking. If a little Barton Carroll doesn’t put a spring in your step, give Dead Confederate a try.

Come on… do it for Cliff.
