Three Imaginary Girls – Gearing up for big things!

harveydanger_poster.jpg

Imaginary headquarters are abuzz with good times. The massive Sasquatch schedule has been announced and there’s a new set of bands offering their brand new albums to the masses for free downloading (Russian Spy Camera, The Charlatans UK).

Show-wise there’s a lot to be excited about: both Harvey Danger and the Magnetic Fields are half way through gracing Seattle with two shows, there’s a really great free show on the calendar and, in a not-in-Seattle note, SXSW starts next Tuesday (and we’ve got imaginary Liz headed to Austin, TX to cover the event) over the week!

Friday, March 7th
Magnetic Fields at Town Hall
If you’ve got your ticket to this quickly sold-out event, you’re not only lucky, you’re likely giddy with excitement like us. Join us as we line up early (to assure we’re not behind a dreaded pole) for the show as they fuzz up the all ages venue with blissful noises from their recent (and aptly named) release, Distortion.

Harvey Danger
Once you’ve seen Harvey Danger, you know what all the hubbub is about. The brilliant banter of Sean Nelson, the catchy hooks of Aaron Huffman and Jeff Lin, and, if you’re lucky, a killer cover song from the crevices of the dusty music library. If you’re headed to the Triple Door, you’re in for a swank and very fun night of entertainment.

Saturday, March 8th
Detroit Cobras with The Blakes and Dragged By Horses at High Dive {FREE}
Did someone capitalize ‘free’? As if there weren’t enough reasons to head to the High Dive see the Detroit Cobras and their amazing vintage garage rock, Saturday’s show at the High Dive is free and features next-big-thing The Blakes with their rock choruses and Arcata, California’s Dragged by Horses.

And then a couple days later, SXSW begins! Besides heading to the brilliant KEXP sessions, what should imaginary Liz go see while in Austin? Any and all suggestions are welcome!

Double your fun,
Three Imaginary Girls
