Live @ SXSW: Does It Offend You, Yeah?, KLRU Studios 3/14

photos by Chad Syme

Reading, U.K.’s Does it Offend You, Yeah? are a tidal wave of synthesized chaos, with all manner of musical explosives going off in the impossibly cheeky “We Are Rockstars.” Mentioned by Guardian Unlimited as having “one of the most irritating names of all time,” DIOYY hold it together with a thick beat brewed from both robotics and a live drummer. In addition to a handful of singles and their forthcoming debut album, You Have No Idea What You’re Getting Yourself Into (out March 24th) they’ve also made a name for themselves with remixes of Bloc Party, Muse and the Raconteurs.
