Out This Week 4/1

A new Death Cab for Cutie album already? New No Age? dEUS? You gotta love April Fools Day, a time when the trick is really on the early leakers. The message boards are ablaze right now with fake leaks from the most anticipated albums, and as a result the would-be early adopters sully their playlists with Rick Astley’s greatest hits in disguise. Apparently, someone even went through the trouble to record songs that vaguely sound like DCFC and post them as such. I hope those in record label sales departments are able to take a moment away from revising their marketing strategies and get a good laugh. Don’t you worry, though. Largehearted Boy’s list contains the real deals. In stores today you’ll find new releases from R.E.M., The Black Keys, Sun Kil Moon, Moby, Los Campesinos!, and quite a few others. No foolin’.
