Whoah… Capitol Hill Block Party Time! Lineup, ticket presale and a teaser.

Keep July 25 and 26th open, folks; the 2008 edition of the Capitol Hill Block Party has fifty bands on four stages, and it’s a pretty impressive lineup. KEXP DJs will be broadcasting live from the festival Friday and Saturday. A share of the proceeds go to a pair of way deserving non-profits: Home Alive and the Vera Project.

Word is that Saturday has a “secret headliner” yet to be announced, so while we all take guesses at who that might be in the comments thread, here are a few of the performers confirmed so far:

Friday July 25th
Vampire Weekend
Les Savy Fav
Girl Talk
The Dodos
Jay Reatard
Pwrfl Power
Past Lives
Black Eyes And Neckties
Champagne Champagne

Saturday July 26th
(Awesome Surprise Guest)
The Hold Steady
Kimya Dawson
Darker My Love
The Builders & The Butchers
The Hands
Velella Velella
The Physics
Man Plus
Little Party And Bad Business

Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 AM. Unless, of course, you want to use the presale that started today (the presale password is BLOCKPARTY!)
