At long at last, the wait is over about where and when Tom Waits will be touring this summer. Through a mock press release, Waits reveals the secret of “PEHDTSCKJMBA,” the mysterious acronym containing the dozen cities fortunate enough to host the “Glitter & Doom” tour. Yes, only 12 U.S. cities have been announced, mostly in the South and Southwest, but Waits does respond rather opaquely, but mostly affirmatively, to the question of a European tour. And if Waits’ previous tours are any indication, he’ll likely hold another junket and announce more dates in the U.S. to follow. Stay tuned… and say hi to your mother:
The tour dates so far:
June 18 – Phoenix, Orpheum
June 20 – El Paso, Plaza Theatre
June 22 – Houston, Jones Hall
June 23 – Dallas, Palladium
June 25 – Tulsa, Brady Theatre
June 26 – Saint Louis, Fox Theatre
June 28 – Columbus, Ohio Theatre
June 29 – Knoxville, Civic Theatre
July 1 – Jacksonville, Moran Theatre
July 2 – Mobile, Saenger Theatre
July 3 – Birmingham, Alabama Theatre
July 5 – Atlanta, Fox Theatre

He better come to Seattle, otherwise I’m crackin’ skulls.
… I don’t care how far, I have to travel. If at all possible, I’m so there! That said, a gig in Seattle would be pretty spectacular. :)
