Free Yr Radio & KEXP present Mudhoney & No Age… free!

The typical counterpoint to the moans and groans that Seattleites have about the long, rainy winter is that the summers are beautiful and life changing. I can’t argue with that, but really, the cherry on top of the beautiful days are all the music concerts and festivals importing fantastic bands, and even bringing out local favorites out of the woodwork.

Here’s one to add to your list — Wednesday, July 23rd at 8:00 PM, Free Yr Radio presents Mudhoney and No Age live in the KEXP parking lot. Free Yr Radio is a concert series put on by Yaris (yes, cars are indie, too!) and Urban Outfitters to help support independent radio stations in communities like Seattle, Austin, Boston, Minneapolis, and Columbus. This is a special treat if you were unable to catch either Mudhoney or No Age at the big Sub Pop 20 festival a couple of weekends ago.

The show is free with a printed e-ticket from Free Yr Radio (available here), but arrive early because space into the show at the KEXP parking lot at Dexter and Denny is limited.

How early should we arrive? We are recording our first demo single tomorrow in Auburn until 2 pm and then plan on heading up to Seattle to get some food. As it’s a pretty big trip from Friday Harbor and a full day, we’re just trying to get our 12 year old son and his band to the concert. Thanks for putting it on!!

Hard to say. We have no idea how early people will arrive, but we know it will fill up. No Age starts at 8PM. You’d want to be here well before that, though. And don’t forget to print passes from the Free Yr Radio website! You’ll need those to get in (but they do not guarantee admission).
