You know what sucks. If you live on 12th between Pike and Pine during the “Block Party”. Its a total inconvenience, and doesn’t have squat to do with those of us who live here (15 years). It would be a minimal courtesy to comp tickets to people who get to spend the next 2 days listening to not only non stop music which may or may not be to to your taste, plus the general obnoxiousness that is part of a commercial event like this, yup we’ll be here at midnight Sunday listening to the barricades getting thrown down and the glass loaded. Any remotely civil or civic organization would make a few minimal gestures to make this more tolerable for people who live on the “block”. This neighborhood has been totally wrecked by the greedy folks who run the clubs and promote the events. The last authentic art/live lofts that have been the core of this neighborhood for decades are being torn down faster than you can say profit. Wish you people would shit in your own cribs.
