If you’ve been listening at all this week, you’ve surely realized that we’re in the midst of our Fall Membership Drive. Nothing is more important to KEXP than your support. We couldn’t provide you with all the great programing, podcasting, exclusive live performances, and events if it weren’t for our members. Please help support KEXP during our Fall Membership Drive and we’ll promise to keep giving back to you.
In the spirit of giving, we’ve gathered for your enjoyment these completely (guilt) free MP3′s from the great albums landing on the shelves this week. Filling out Largehearted Boy’s list are the latest from many bands you’ve heard here on KEXP over the years: Crooked Fingers, Catfish Haven, Oasis, Lambchop, Juana Molina, The Streets, These Arms Are Snakes, The Rosebuds, New Radiant Storm King, Antony & The Johnsons, Annuals, Department of Eagles, Deerhoof, Her Space Holiday, and many others. A few bands you’ve been hearing more recently and certainly will hear a lot more of in the coming months include Vivian Girls, who will appear live on KEXP when we broadcast from CMJ this month, as well as These United States, El Guincho, and Crystal Antlers. And yes, the new album from Oasis returns!

I just renewed my membership and, although I certainly could have used the money to buy a new pair of boots or warm vacation trip to cope with early-winter in October in Seattle, I just couldn’t resist your pleas for support. I have listened to KEXP since it was KCMU and I was a law school student back at the UW. I listen to it almost every morning and about half the time it is the only way I get to work in the morning. My friends often tell me how much I know about music and that I have really good “taste.” I always blame it on KEXP more than anything else. I don’t have taste so much as I have adopted yours as my own. Keep up the good work. PS. I love it that people really know who KEXP is these days and don’t go “Who?” when I tell them about it. Also, I love spreading the word to others who aren’t from around these parts. All the best, Christina
Awesome, Christina!!! Thanks so much for your support. It means so much to each and every one of us at KEXP.
