KEXP Top Ten Lists: Larry vs. Larry, and the rest of the weekend DJs

What would make somebody spend every Friday and Saturday night from 1AM to 6AM locked away in small room with just a couple of turntables, CD players, a microphone and tons and tons of music? Insanity? Adrenaline? Controlled substances? No, KEXP’s Larry Metro fuels his high-energy, progressive shows with a love of music from all genres: rock, rap, world, Americana, R&B, pop, electronica, and all kinds of experimental music.

On the other hand, Larry Rose, a Sunday afternoon DJ and the original developer of our real-time playlist, is equally passionate about the music he plays, and every week he features a forgotten gem on his series Diggin’ in the Lounge.

Is it easy to confuse the two Larry’s? Only by name -- in some ways, they couldn’t be more different! But it’s their diverse and eclectic tastes, as demonstrated by their Top Ten lists below, that draw these two veteran DJ’s together (that, and their love of birds!).
