While some of us were resting up post-Yule Benefit this past Sunday, others were catching Longwave perform live at the KEXP studio. The boys from New York, who were in town touring their fourth LP Secrets Are Sinister, have been longtime KEXP favorites and, coincidentally, even played our first ever Yule Benefit back in 2003! As guitarist/vocalist Steve Schiltz mentions in the introduction to performance of “No Direction” below, the KEXP studio was also the first place they ever demoed their 2005 hit “There’s A Fire.” Now, back with their strongest material since The Strangest Things, here’s Longwave:
