Actually, he isn’t. That honor still belongs to China’s Bao Xishun. However, Sweden’s Kristian Matsson stands confidently under the long shadow cast by one of the most influential of American songwriters, Bob Dylan. It’s an influence Matsson openly acknowledges, but it’s not one that fully defines his rueful and unique sound.
