Discover Nada Surf

DJ Cheryl Waters has a somewhat unusual request for Nada Surf... apparently not the kind they get all the time.

What? Unusual? Those guys have been hitting the road hard and releasing records like crazy since their big hit “Popular” broke down doors over at MTV...back when they played music.

To the DJ who was filling in for Cheryl on St. Patrick’s day .... great job .... I particularly liked how how ‘transitioned with edge’ from one mood, tempo to another, my favourite (note the Canadian spelling) one being when you went from the Black Lips to Leonard Cohen’s classic, ‘Suzanne’, from his first album back in the ’60s .....if you ever want to finish a show with another incredible Cohen song, play ‘Closing Time’ ..... thanks to you and Seattle KEXP for playing Cohen .... I just started listening to your station --I’m in Kamloops, B.C. ..... our daughter listens to it (from Halifax, Nova Scotia on our east coast) told me I’d like it and I sure do .... Bruce

This video is hysterical. I had a friend that always said if she ever bumped into a rock star she’d just ask them for the time - like she didn’t know who they were.
    Please make more of these.
