Deer Tick live acoustic at SXSW

John McCauley, aka Deer Tick, stopped our acoustic sessions during the KEXP broadcast from Austin during SXSW to play a few songs. “Spend the Night” comes from his excellent album War Elephant, “Cake & Eggs,” which he wrote with Those Darlins, is an intentional homage to great songwriters like John Prine, and “Little White Lies,” is an as of yet unreleased song which should appear on his upcoming album, Born On Flag Day.

Hey I was wondering where I might find a recording of cake and eggs. I would be willing to buy it. I’m sure it’s recorded somewhere I just have no idea how to get it. Thanks!
