Ed Harcourt at SXSW

Scott Holpainen

Ed Harcourt, a bit bleary eyed for being the first performer of the first morning during KEXP’s broadcast in Austin during SXSW, is one of those artists who can sing the sweetest tones you’ve ever heard at any time of the day and any condition. After catching up with DJ Cheryl Waters, Ed played two songs, “Black Feathers” from his upcoming Russian Roulette EP (due May 5) and a brand new one called “The Living Are Dead,” before heading off to get his boots repaired.
