Out This Week 4/28

Together Through Life

You’re probably waiting anxiously for next week’s arrival of the new Conor Oberst and The Mystic Valley Band album, Outer South. Just hang onto your horses, pardner. You can head over to NPR Music, where they’re streaming the full album, and get your fix. In the meanwhile, you have a lot of great new releases this week to choose from, including the latest from Bob Dylan, who cranked out the excellent, accordion-laden Together Through Life in record time. Be sure to also check out the latest from Crocodiles, Kevin Devine and The Goddamn Band, Tosca, Ben Lee, Nadja, and Playing for Change, an international project connecting over a hundred musicians through song. Wilco fans (and who isn’t?) will definitely want to grab their new documentary, Ashes of American Flags. Print out a copy of Largehearted Boy’s list and hop on over to your favorite record store. Don’t worry, the Conor Oberst preview will still be there when you get back!
