Brooklyn based songwriter Kevin Devine, who has been recording well-received solo albums for the last seven years, has put together a band… and not just any band, but a “Goddamn Band” apparently. (And yeah, that’s Brian Bonz, who you might recognize from our CMJ broadcast in 2007.) Kevin just released his fifth album, Brother’s Blood, and stopped by the Morning Show with John Richards to perform some new songs. Here are two of them, “Another Bag Of Bones” and “I Could Be With Anyone,” live on KEXP:

Magical. will this be on the podcast soon? thanks.
This sounds absolutely fantastic, kudos to the engineer. I didn’t even think they were playing live for a while. Love Another Bag of Bones, not crazy about I Could Be With Anyone though.
swell!
Great in-studio. Video work and sound quality get an A+. Seattlest interview with Kevin: http://seattlest.com/2009/05/20/an_interview_with_brooklyns_kevin_d.php
