KEXP and Seattle Center’s summer Concerts at the Mural series is in full swing, with two more Friday evenings of free, all-ages performances left to go. Tonight’s event features The Dodos and their frenetic folk anthems, along with the joyriding rock ‘n’ roll of LA-based Army Navy. It’s hardly been a year since The Dodos released their fantastic second record, Visiter, yet they’ve already cut another album, Time To Die, due for release September 15th. Meanwhile, Army Navy has been hard at work promoting their infectious self-titled debut, which came out late last year.
Things get started tonight at 5pm, with the Beer Garden opening its gates and KEXP DJ Troy Nelson on the 1′s and 2′s. Army Navy’s set is scheduled for 6pm, followed by The Dodos sometime around 7pm. Head down early for a prime spot on the lawn and take advantage of all this great free music!

Yay free shows, yay beer garden, and yay Wheedle!
Yeah! Wheedle on the Needle! I love the Wheedle. He looks happy with that flower in hand, so he probably won’t make it rain tonight.
