More live videos from KEXP’s broadcast at the Bumbershoot Music Lounge: Seattle songwriter Sera Cahoone, flanked by with Jason Kardong on the pedal steel and Jeff Fielder on banjo and acoustic guitar, performed a stripped down acoustic set of songs from her self-titled debut and her recent Sub Pop album Only As the Day Is Long. The New York/Pennsylvania trio Akron/Family played meandering, yet dynamic, set that left Cahoone’s dusty Americana behind as it wandered into fields of lucious psych-folk. Here are a pair of songs from each set, recorded and edited by More Dust Than Digital:
Sera Cahoone - “Baker Lake”
Sera Cahoone - “Only As the Day Is Long”
Akron/Family - “The River”
Akron/Family - “Ed Is A Portal”
