Fall 2009 Countdown: Best First Track Off An Album?

Don’t wait any longer to VOTE for your favorite music here on KEXP! During the Fall Membership Drive, we’re counting down a different music theme everyday based on what you think is the best music on this side of the universe. Start researching your library, because one question you’ll be answering is: what’s the absolute best first track off an album? Is it the entrancing “Here” from Vast‘s, Visual Audio Sensory Theater? Or the soulful and sinister “Long Way Back From Hell” from Danzig‘s, Danzig II- Lucifuge? How ’bout the avant rock “Elephant Woman” off of Blonde Redhead‘s, Misery Is A Butterfly? Or even “Digeridoo” from the epileptic, hyperactive Aphex Twin‘s, Classics? Better yet, could it be the heavy bluestastic “Just Got To Be” off of the Black Keys‘, Magic Potion?

KEXP is made possible by you, the listeners, so use your voice and VOTE NOW– write in your own answers or choose from our suggested entries.

Remember, the online poll close tonight, Monday, September 28 at midnight. And also tune in October 3-9 to follow the countdown and pledge your support!
