Don’t worry — KEXP’s live internet stream is still available from the Radio selection in your iTunes Library. We are now located under the category “Eclectic“:
As iTunes has restructured its categories to more accurately reflect the content of the stations available for you to hear online, the category of “Public”, which once hosted the KEXP Live stream, now no longer exists. For a short while, you may have found us under the “Alternative” category, but now we’re more properly located under “Eclectic” to better represent the diverse programming you’ll hear on KEXP, which includes not only our daytime variety shows throughout the week but also our selection of specialty shows like the hip-hop beats of Street Sounds, the roots rumblings of The Roadhouse, the late night Jazz Theatre, the NW music spotlight Audioasis, the wide array of African music on The Best Ambiance, and all of the others. I went to ITunes radio, checked under ‘Eclectic’ and was wondering if the songs were under different categories, or what’s the best way to find KEXP in ‘Eclectic’?
I didn’t find it under Eclectic, but luckily found it under Alternative. Does it differ between users? If not, you may need to change your message.
Thanks for the comment. We’re under “Eclectic” if you have updated your version of iTunes. If not, we may still be listed under “Alternative” or even “Public” (which does not exist anymore). The listing will not change if you have not updated iTunes… but as soon as you do, you’ll see us under “Eclectic.”
Eddie, you may need to update your iTunes first. If you haven’t updated, you still may see us under “Alternative”.
For some reason, every time I try to listen through iTunes, it just stalls on “Getting Playlist”. Most other stations function fine. I am at work; could it be a firewall? I don’t think so since I am able to listen to other iTunes radio stations…
It very well could be a firewall. Please email streamingsupport@kexp.org for help.
Stoked I just found you guys on AppleTV’s new “radio” tab under internet. Love how easy you guys make it & how you embrace all the distribution the web offers.

I have KEXP saved in my music library.
Right-click on the Listen Now or Listen Live link in the header.
Save the file titled listen.pls to your desktop.
Drag the file into iTunes.
KEXP is now in your music library.
I listen to you guys nearly everyday from iTunes!

We have just moved to Edinburgh and are going through some SERIOUS withdrawals. For us, KEXP is under “Alternative”, not “Eclectic”.
ON the website I can see the podcasts for 2/3 and 2/4 but for some reason I can’t get them from the ITunes subscription….is this a glich that can get fixed at your end?
