Last month, Ghostland Observatory performed a special show at the Triple Door as part of KEXP’s VIP Club Concert series. And even for this afternoon session between sold out nights that the Showbox SoDo, the Austin duo brought all their fog machines and lasers to give KEXP members to full Ghostland experience. Performing nearly in the dark amid the hair-splitting laserbeams and proliferating fog, electronic wizard Thomas Turner and guitarist/singer Aaron Behrens stunned the crowd with a few newer, a few older songs, and blew the roof off with their version of Prince’s “Darling Nikki.” We were there with our cameras to capture as best we could, the electrifying performance:
