On Saturday night, we’re broadcasting live from The Sunset Tavern in Ballard with Hannah Levin and special co-host Troy Nelson, bringing you live sets from Constant Lovers and Dog Shredder. Each month for the Audioasis live broadcast, one local charity is chosen as the event’s beneficiary. This month, that charity is the University District Food Bank, which has helped prevent hunger in Northeast Seattle neighborhoods. Each week, more than 1,000 different families receive the groceries they need to prepare nutritionally balanced meals at home. Donations of food at The Sunset are encouraged!

Constant Lovers (6:30PM) create complex, layered music, with their sometimes-growling, sometimes-soaring vocals anchored by heavy drums. With two, three, or even all four of the band members regularly wielding the sticks, the percussion is dense and almost primal, causing your body to respond instinctively.

Dog Shredder (8PM) are a are a monstrous three-piece from Bellingham, Washington. They aim to play the most blaring, technical, breakneck instrumental thrash you’ve ever heard. Dog Shredder is a beast all its own.
After our live broadcast, stick around at The Sunset for our Audioasis Showcase featuring Vultures 2012, The Keeper, and Android Hero. More info here.

Constant Lovers -- one of my favorite bands of 2010!
How do you go about choosing your local charity? Do you know where I can receive more information?
