It’s been a busy year and a half for Victoria Hesketh, a.k.a. Little Boots. After initially garnering accolades for her YouTube videos of pop song covers, including Hot Chip and The Human League, her pop star has been on the rise. She has since toured festivals all over the world, was named the winner of the BBC Sound of 2009 poll (beating out Passion Pit and Lady Gaga, among others), and recorded a debut album featuring collaborations with, you guessed it, members of Hot Chip and The Human League.

Her debut album Hands is one electro-pop music gem after another and is out in the U.S. via Elektra this week. To promote the release, Boots is heading out on a U.S. tour, which includes her very first Seattle date this Saturday, March 6th. The singer-songwriter plays a combination of keyboard, stylophone, and a Japanese electronic “light” instrument called the Tenori-on live, in what will no doubt be a show that no pop music enthusiast should miss.
