Leading off the first day of KEXP’s broadcast from Gibson Showroom in Austin during SXSW, the five members of Fanfarlo — Simon Balthazar, Cathy Lucas, Justin Finch, Leon Beckenham, and Amos Memon — played their lushly romantic pop songs for a room of KEXP listeners. For a band that self-released their album first, handmade their own limited boxsets, and just create music that his personally inspiring to them, success and wide acclaim seem to come quickly and easily... but the band has really been busily touring since the previous SXSW, and their vast experience on the road has made their live show truly spectacular.
