The sound of post-punk and experimental rock shook the KEXP studio as Jordan Blilie, Mark Gajadhar, Morgan Henderson and Devin Welch performed an energized live set last February to celebrate the release of their debut album, Tapestry of Webs. Past Lives is a project that emerged out of the ashes of Seattle’s screamo/punk-metal masters The Blood Brothers. Choosing this time to build upon progressive rhythms, jagged post-punk melodies, and more dynamic song structures, Past Lives have created a dark, striking and experimental album that’s further bolstered by Jordan Blilie’s new focus on actual singing. Recently, the band -- singer Blilie with guitarist Devin Welch, multi-instrumentalist Morgan Henderson, and drummer Mark Gajadhar -- stopped by the KEXP studio to perform songs from the new album.
