It’s not hard to figure out how Florence & The Machine has managed to top the UK charts with her platinum award winning album, Lungs. The voice of young Florence Welch is a thing of beauty as it ranges from a sultry whisper to an earsplitting howl, and her songs, like the not-really-about-domestic-violence “Kiss with a Fist,” are clever and insanely catchy, and equally fantastic whether they’re played solo or with a full band. We were lucky here at KEXP to have Florence drop by the station with Tom Monger on harp and Rob Ackroyd on guitar for a stripped down set of all singles from the new album. Normally, the KEXP staff watching these sessions are so quiet you’d never know they’re there, but at the end of “Rabbit Heart” you can hear how they just couldn’t contain themselves. Don’t let your jaw hit the floor as you watch this stunning performance now:

Amazing! Florence never cease to amaze me! She’s so talented. Definetly most talented artist we have right now. Love her! My favorite singer.
Wow! Stunning girl who is as electrifying to watch as she is to listen to. Her band seem to be a talented bunch too and I look forward to seeing more live performances in the future..
Geez, this girl is insanely good! Her range is out of this world. Thanks for sharing your gift with us princess!
This live version of “Cosmic Love” is way better than the satisfactory album version. Wow!
